Spoiled "Club Rat" Nail Polish (Pictures)
Question: would newspaper nails work for pictures on normal printer paper? i like the idea of newspaper nails but i'd rather do it with a picture than writing. would it work on regular printing paper.
Answer:: it might ive done magazine nails before and it worked with that kind of paper it should work with every kind of paper but i think your get a better result using newspaper. but whati did whas cut out a white piece of a page in a magazine and had my brother draw a tiny picture on it then i dipped it in the alcohol and put it on my nails and it actually came.
In the bottle, this looks so juicy and pigmented. Once on, it let me down a bit. The formula is on the thick side, so doing 3 layers wasn't going to happen for me. It's pretty, just not rocking my world, if you know what I mean.
Where To Buy: CVS; these are only $1.99, so even if you're not madly in love, it's no big deal ;-)
Pink Sith: ManGlaze Santorum Matte Nail Color.
I would like to hang pictures WITHOUT using nails - is there some invention I can use to put a hook on the...? wall that will be easy to move around to different places. (I would like to hang a lot of pictures in my office, and don't want to call maintenance to hand each and every one of them). but they're just regualar white office walls. I know there are corner shelves that do it.
Best choices for attaching with minimal hole or no hole in drywall is called "Monkey Hook" or "Hurricane Hook" which is a thin wire (like bent paperclip) that pushes thru wall. They claim 50 lbs but it actually only holds 20 lbs (i've tested to failure @ 40lbs). Other choice is 3M "Command Hooks" they stick to wall with special adhesive strip that is removable
If one were to google the word "Santorum" one would most likely get a definition of the word in one of the top three results on Google. The definition is pornographic and in the interest of my more sensitive readers I will not "define" it here. But you can do a google search for the word "Santorum" and there will be a definition of the word for you to read. In May 2003, gay rights activist and columnist, Dan Savage held a contest among his readers to create a definition for the word "Santorum". This was in response to comments by then-U.S. Senator Rick Santorum during an interview with the Associated Press that had been criticized as anti-gay. Savage announced the winning entry, which defined "Santorum" as "XXXXXXXXXXXX" and created a web site, spreadingsantorum.com (and santorum.com), to promote the definition, which became a prominent search result for Santorum's name on several web search engines. The geniuses at ManGlaze came up with Santorum as the name for their newest Matte Brown Nail Polish. It think it is a fitting name. As you can see by the label on the back, they carefully craft each Santorum.
Question: Looking for How-To's to make pictures using nails hammered into wood & then painting nail heads like flowers. Use nails with different size heads. Some are painted to make a flower on 1 head, others use several heads to make 1 flower.
Answer:: I did similar work in the ninetees but with screws. What I did was I used plywood 3/4 thick and screwed the screws in in different shapes and then painted shapes around them and also painted the heads different colors and left some heads exposed. the screws come in different colors too. I used acrylic paint and gel midium for sheen.
When Senator Santorum pulled out
of the race for president after repeatedly coming in Number 2 and his campaign was aborted
, there was talk that they might change the name. Despite Santorum pulling out
early, ahead of the race’s climax
, ManGlaze didn't rename the polish, and I'm glad. This Santorum is thick. I suppose it has to be. It's not so thick that is doesn't spread easily and self level, but this Santorum is thick enough that only one coat may satisfy
you. I certainly like the quality of this Santorum. It's neither frothy or runny. It's just the right viscosity one would expect from ManGlaze making Santorum. Be careful when pulling the brush out of Santorum. You don't want to drip
Santorum all over your clothing. That would be a stain very hard to get out.
spreadingsantorum.com happened years and years ago--well before he became America's favorite Dark Ages politician. Also, how is it Dan Savage's fault that dude was out there trying to get elected president while his daughter was sick?
Anyway. Regardless, I would under any circumstances refuse to feel one bit of sympathy for a dude who says that a pregnancy as the result of rape is a "gift.
Question: Can we hang pictures with nails in MFH? Are we allowed to hang pictures on the walls in military family housing with hooks or nails. or possilby the sticky back hooks.
Answer:: I would go with the nails over those hook things cause I have never been able to get them to work properly, and end up ripping the paint off the wall trying to get them off. One trick for nails is just take a tube of white toothpaste and put a dab on your finger and fill the.
" To paraphrase Cee Lo Green: forget him.
I quite love you, Pink Sith, quite a lot actually. I've read your previous comments in a few posts here and there where you mention people complain about your language or what have you, but I've always found you to be particularly pleasant. :) I like reading your posts, each and every one of them. And once in a while you have a gem so great it forces me to come out of lurkdom and say something.... Well done, madam. Well done. :D
I've loved ManGlaze for quite some time and have just recently started reading your blog. I own all of the colors ManGlaze has put out so far and I must say Santorum is one of a kind. The not so subtle innuendo you entered into your review was quite amusing and appropriate.
What I find extremely distasteful though is some readers taking this as an opportunity to pull out their back ally soapboxes and try to turn something as fun and harmless as nail polish and try to cause a political/moral stir. Nowhere on the label or on ManGlazes site or facebook do they directly link the nail polish Santorum to former Senator Rick Santorum.
Question: How far above couch should pictures hang on the wall? and How to hang pictures/curtains without nails in wall? Is there a simple way to hang pictures and curtains without using nails or screws. The pictures are not very heavy, but they are a nice size weight. Also, I'll be hanging the curtains over window blinds.
Answer:: they should be hung at a comfortable eye level. go to Lowes or Home Depot of picture hangers
As you have stated the color and name were inspired by blogger Dan Savage and the definition of santorum is nothing new. ManGlaze has earned my undying respect and loyalty for being bold enough to put out a product such as Santorum, not just for the meaning of the word, but also to fill a huge, gaping void that existed prior to it's conception. I know quite a few people that enjoy having Santorum on their nails and I've gotten quite a few compliments from it myself.
Let us all put aside our political leanings and wear our Santorum proudly, whether it be in a full nail, classic manicure or as the ManGlaze official way to wear Santorum as they have posted in a video on their facebook.
Very disappointed in this entire post and most of the comments. This is obviously meant as an affront to Sen. Santorum (not necessarily his daughter's illness, tho). I can only imagine if someone posted the same type of mean-spirited parody of Obama during the previous election. And, how sad that when someone who is obviously conservative in their politics and beliefs states they are offended, that the comments turn against them.
How can I hang up pictures without nails or thumbtacks? I am moving into a condo and in the lease it says that I can not use nails or tacks. Any ideas on what I can use instead.
They have an adhesive on them that can be removed
with no residue, or damage to the wall. They also make a tack strip that can be pressed onto the wall, and the have a tack pushed into it with no damage to the wall. These items are great if you cannot put a nail into the walls.
I look to makeup blogs for neutral light-hearted discussion and not this type of adulation of products that are meant to offend. I read the same kind of stuff on Charlestongirl's blog in her pro-Obama banter and I was very disheartened. There is no respect anymore for the intended audience unless they believe EXACTLY like you do.
Love the post,...
